4 Alternative Entrance Exams for Engineering Admission

The IIT JEE Main and Advanced entrance exams have been postponed in view of the spread of coronavirus. The JEE Main examination will be held from September 1 to 6 this year and JEE advanced exam on September 27.

Here are a few alternatives to the IIT JEE exams, for which the procedure is still open:

Andhra Pradesh’s APEAMCET: This exam is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada for admission to engineering, agriculture, and medical courses. The exam was scheduled to be held in April but has been postponed due to covid19. The exam is likely to be held on July 27, 28, 29, and 30. The application process has been extended and they can apply until July 15 at https://sche.ap.gov.in/EAMCET/EamcetHomePages/Home.aspx

Andhra University’s AUEET, Visakhapatnam: The application process is open for the entrance exam for admission to Andhra University (AU). Please check the official website http://aueet.audoa.in/Default1.aspx?cet=EET. AU will also hold another exam for admission to Arts, Commerce, and science courses.

Vellore Institute of Technology’s VITEEE: The application process is on and will conclude on July 15. Please check the website at https://vit.ac.in/BTechAdmissions/. Those selected will be eligible for admission to the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).

Tolani Maritime Institute Science Aptitude Test TMISAT: TMISAT is conducted by Tolani Maritime Institute (TMI) for admissions to its BTech programmes in Marine Engineering and BSc in Nautical Technology. Those interested can apply at the official website — http://www.tmi.tolani.edu/admission/apply-now/.
